Welcome and Notices

Grace, mercy and peace

from God our Father

and the Lord Jesus Christ

be with you

and also with you.

Interview with Geoff Stubbs

Collect for Healing

Heavenly Father,

you anointed your Son Jesus Christ

with the Holy Spirit and with power

to bring to us all the blessings of your kingdom.

Anoint your Church with the same Holy Spirit,

that we who share in his suffering and victory

may bear witness to the gospel of salvation;

through Jesus Christ, your Son our Lord,

who is alive and reigns with you

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever.

Lord Jesus, you heal the sick:

Lord, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy.

Lord Jesus, you forgive sinners:

Christ, have mercy.

Christ, have mercy.

Lord Jesus, you give yourself to heal us

and bring us strength:

Lord, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy.

Almighty God,

who forgives all who truly repent,

have mercy upon you,

pardon and deliver you from all your sins,

confirm and strengthen you in all goodness,

and keep you in life eternal;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. All   Amen.

Reading: Mark 1v40-42

A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.

This is the word of the Lord
Thanks be to God

Worship: What a beautiful name is Jesus

The Peace

Christ is our peace. He has reconciled us to

God in one body by the cross.

We meet in his name and share his peace.

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

And also with you.

Collect for Advent

Almighty God,

give us grace to cast away the works of darkness

and to put on the armour of light,

now in the time of this mortal life,

in which your Son Jesus Christ came to us in great humility;

that on the last day,

when he shall come again in his glorious majesty

to judge the living and the dead,

we may rise to the life immortal;

through him who is alive and reigns with you,

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever.

Music: Great is the Lord

We pray for friends and family who may be ill.

Heavenly Father, we commend to your love and care those who suffer in body, mind, or spirit, and especially those known to us, whom we hold up to you in silence now.

In your goodness and mercy
grant them health in body,
soundness of mind,
and peace of heart,
that in wholeness of being they may glorify your name,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We continue to pray, O Lord, for the healing of the nations.
Help us to see that there can be no peace among nations unless there is peace among men and women. And there can be no peace among men and women until they have made their peace with you.
We claim the peace which comes from faith in Jesus Christ, that having peace in out hearts we may be at peace with our neighbours and that peace between man and women may finally grow into peace between nation and nation.
We ask this in the name of the Prince of Peace, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
