Welcome and Notices

Grace, mercy and peace

from God our Father

and the Lord Jesus Christ

be with you

and also with you.

Collect for Healing

Heavenly Father,

you anointed your Son Jesus Christ

with the Holy Spirit and with power

to bring to us all the blessings of your kingdom.

Anoint your Church with the same Holy Spirit,

that we who share in his suffering and victory

may bear witness to the gospel of salvation;

through Jesus Christ, your Son our Lord,

who is alive and reigns with you

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever.

Lord Jesus, you heal the sick:

Lord, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy.

Lord Jesus, you forgive sinners:

Christ, have mercy.

Christ, have mercy.

Lord Jesus, you give yourself to heal us

and bring us strength:

Lord, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy.

Almighty God,

who forgives all who truly repent,

have mercy upon us,

pardon and deliver us from all our sins,

confirm and strengthen us in all goodness,

and keep us in life eternal;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. All   Amen.

The Peace

Christ is our peace. He has reconciled us to

God in one body by the cross.

We meet in his name and share his peace.

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

And also with you.

Reading: Psalm 43 read by Moyra

Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation.

Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked.
You are God my stronghold. Why have you rejected me?
Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?
Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.

Why, my soul, are you downcast?  Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God.

This is the word of the Lord
Thanks be to God.

Worship: Great is the Lord

Prayers led by Kari

O Christ Jesus, when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of your presence,
your love, and your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to you,
we shall see your hand,
your purpose, your will through all things.

Dear God,

I ask you to help me cast out feelings of hopelessness, sadness, and frustration and help me move forward.
I know you are beside me.
I feel your surrounding comfort, understanding, and unconditional love, wrapping around me, like a blanket, calming my fears and lightening my heart.
Thank you, Dear God, for always being there for me and with me, each and every day.
I pray that I am able to release the sadness I feel and enjoy the adventure of the journey.

We say together the Grace.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
be with us all, now and for evermore

The Lord bless you and watch over you.

The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.

The Lord look kindly on you and give you peace; and the blessing of God almighty,

the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always.  Amen.
