Week commencing July 1stWe pray for the residents of Kaigh Avenue, for neighbourliness and kindness amongst those who live in this small group of houses; for the musical week at St Nicholas’ church, that those who participate and those who attend might find peace and enjoyment in their musical activities; for the Guides Association as they seek a new leadership, that suitable and enthusiastic people might be found.

Verse for the week: “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired hands.” Luke 15 vs 18-19

Prayer for the week:  Dear Lord, we recall the parable of the younger son who went off and squandered his father’s inheritance, who regretted his choice of lifestyle and came back to be greeted with joy and celebration by his relieved and gracious father: help us to be humble when we stray, and to be grateful for Your boundless generosity when we return to You. Amen.
