Prayers          In service

Week Commencing October 1st:  Please pray for the residents of Little Crosby Road and for all who live on the outskirts of conurbations, that they might feel part of the community. For the work of the Salvation Army with the poor and homeless in our neighbourhood, that they know that their work is supported generously by our church and school especially at Harvest time; for the work of the MU across the world and especially for partner churches in Britain, Africa and Burma.

Verse for the week: Yet it was because of this that God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phil 2 v 9-11

Prayer for the week: In this world of selfishness, self-preservation, and self-promotion, keep us mindful that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that it is to him and his teachings that we must try to surrender, and not the other idols of greed and power.

Safeguarding: if you are involved in any voluntary activity for St Michael’s and have not yet filled in the necessary Safeguarding form, please complete one as soon as possible and return it to Val. Thank you.
